Great Lakes Now is growing!
-Detroit Public Television’s Great Lakes Bureau is growing by leaps and bounds. Thanks to the generosity of the Erb Foundation, Consumer’s Energy Foundation, the Americana Foundation and supporters like you, we are adding to our staff. This week, we are introducing you to Great Lakes Now Program Director Sandra Svoboda. Next week, we will introduce you to our new reporters – we now have a reporter on each Great Lake! – and re-introduce you to our Senior Correspondent Gary Wilson in Chicago.

Enbridge and NWF respond to MI Attorney General’s statement about closure of Line 5
-GreatLakesNow.org has just received responses from Enbridge and from The National Wildlife Federation to a new study on alternatives for Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline under the Straits of Mackinac, and to today’s statement from Michigan Attorney Bill Schuette calling for the development of a “specific and definite timetable” to close Line 5.
