A wooden steamship was found a century after it went missing in Lake Superior.
On April 29, The Adella Shores was carrying a load of salt to Duluth when it vanished without a trace.
“When we say it went missing, that means it left the dock. And nobody ever, other than maybe a couple of ships out on the lake, you know, before it disappeared, nobody really saw that thing again.” said Bruce Lynn, executive director of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, which made the discovery.
The Adella Shores was originally discovered in 2021, but the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum waited to announce the discovery until they could confirm details about the vessel.
