Go aboard a boat that delivers mail to freighters, learn about life on a freighter and see shipwrecks in Lake Huron that you don’t need a scuba tank to reach.
Partner station WPBS-TV is hosting a free screening of the Great Lakes Now episode, “Ships and Shipwrecks” at 6 p.m. on Monday, August 26 at the Aquatarium in Brockville, Ontario.
WPBS, located in Watertown, New York, produced the segment “Life on a Freighter,” which appears in this episode of the GLN monthly show.
The screening is part of the Brockville Big River Festival which includes tall ships.
Hear opening remarks from new WPBS President and General Manager, Mark Prasuhn, catch the screening before the premiere on Tuesday, August 27, and enjoy light refreshments. Great Lakes Now Program Director Sandra Svoboda will greet guests as well.
