The EPA released a report last week stating that the Great Lakes Basin needs $80 billion dollars in wastewater infrastructure fixes over the next 20 years, in order to prevent waste discharges from harming drinking water. The report drew an immediate response from Todd Ambs at the Healing Our Waters – Great Lakes Coalition, who said that current federal allocations to the Clean Water State Revolving Fund fall far short of the need.
